Need to support your leadership team to create a bigger positive impact, faster with their teams – and ensure they feel less overwhelmed in the process?
Your leaders can feel confident, capable and energised
(without worrying about them leaving, burning out or being in conflict with their teams…)
If you have a team full of highly qualified, motivated technical experts who are high achieving in their discipline - but they’re finding the team leadership and people stuff tricky…
It’s likely you’re wondering how to support their professional and personal growth into the full scope of their leadership roles.
If your leadership team hasn’t had much (or any) leadership development, they’re likely to be struggling with overwhelm when it comes to achieving results and maintaining a great, people-centric culture.
- You’ve hired and promoted technically excellent people, but you’re noticing they’re not gelling as a leadership team
- The pressure is on from the board and shareholders for better results and culture, but your leadership team is working themselves into the ground instead of engaging their teams
- Sometimes results come at the cost of people’s wellbeing, resulting in turnover, decreased engagement and poor culture
- Limited self-awareness in leaders means they’re producing unintended outcomes when it comes to professional relationships
- They’re struggling to form and lead effective teams, and sometimes disagreements and conflicts escalate which hinders collaboration and productivity
- Leaders can’t seem to extract themselves from the technical, day to day details so they have little headspace for strategic thinking
- Your leaders are working hard, but sometimes on the wrong things, and they’re burning out in the process
Taking on this role, you had a clear strategic intent to make a positive impact in the world, and planned to build a leadership team and organisation to capably deliver it.
You know the contribution of your organisation is needed in the market or system – there’s no one else who can do what your team can do. The organisation is well regarded, and full of highly qualified, driven contributors all wanting to make a positive difference. You intended to create a positive, high performing culture that sustainably balances results with people. You wanted your leadership team to be consistent, positive role models for the organisation, clients and collaborators. But instead of feeling empowered to create big wins with your leadership team, you now worry that they’re not up to the task.
What if you could more easily support your people to make the transition from technical expert to powerful, authentic leaders?
The truth is you don’t have to develop your leadership team alone.
You can see transformational change in your leaders – individually and as a team - in a matter of months, with the academically tested and corporately valued learning and leadership development support.
But, you don’t want to throw good money after bad with just any old leadership program.
You need something that matches the intellect of your leaders, and enables them to make real, practical changes to their leadership approach in a supported, inspired way.
What My Clients Say
“One of the great things about working with Angela has been unlearning some of things I had come to believe were necessary, like avoiding high tension conversations. Learning how to effectively hold space in those difficult conversations and not letting people off the hook or tip toe around a tough decision has been great for getting issues resolved effectively and quickly. As a leader everyone is watching. The way you respond, even very subtly, has an impact on your team. I think that the fact that my team saw a change in the way I was approaching issues with them, showing them a lot more trust, that’s been good for me and it’s been good for my team and they are now replicating that with their employees.

That’s why we’ve created Powering Leaders…
Who it’s for and about the results the program creates
A powerful, face to face leadership development program for leadership teams who want to harness their leadership potential and results using industry-proven strategies for success I’ve taken everything I’ve learned from 20 years’ experience of training engineers, accountants, scientists and other technical experts, and designed this learning program at the intersection of leadership and personal development. The Powering Leaders Program for technical experts transitioning to leadership, combining 360 degree feedback, learning workshops and coaching. It’s for leaders who are ready to own their power to create real, positive change in the world through better leadership of themselves and their teams. Leaders who want to become people of influence in their organisations, and beyond. (If you’re waiting for your team to miraculously ‘just know what to do’ in leadership, stop reading now – we’re not meant for each other.) I’m here to reassure you that when you invest in the development of your leadership team with The Powering Leaders Program, you’ll never look back. It’s time to support your technical leaders to make the transition to people leaders.
Just like complicated, technically intricate plant and equipment have logic and schema to help us understand how they work and what might need attention, the fields of psychology, organisational psychology, sociology and leadership development literature provide us with theories, tools, models and concepts that help us understand how people and teams work.
The Powering Leaders program decodes ‘how people work’ in organisations with four, deliberately designed and sequenced learning modules centred around:
SELF-AWARENESS
Learn how your team, bosses and peers perceive your leadership approach, understand how you’re ‘wired’ (behavioural profiles help you understand ‘the way you think’) and how this plays out for you and your team
SELF LEADERSHIP
Learn how to bring forward your most constructive and functional leadership approach, even and especially when conditions are challenging
TEAM LEADERSHIP
Learn to set clear expectations, offer genuine praise and uplifting feedback to improve team performance, to master those tricky conversations and grow and develop your team through a coaching style of leadership
ORGANISATIONAL LEADERSHIP
Be an exemplary leader and contributor to collaborative strategy development and execution across your organisation
What My Clients Say
Angela helped me to appreciate that people usually have the best intentions and as a leader it’s my job to help them do their best work. I am now able to look at an individual and consider how I can support them, whether it be through high levels of communication, different ways of motivating, giving praise or correcting their course early rather than later.
This has allowed me to cultivate relationships at a deeper level with my team so that everyone can work at an individual level that brings them up to the best version of themselves for the benefit of the team.

What my clients say
We engaged Angela to run a communication and leadership development program with the onsite engineering team. As part of this program, we did facilitated group sessions combined with one-on-one coaching sessions with team members.
At a team level, the sessions with Angela helped break down the communication barriers that we had as a team and helped us to productively navigate the difficult conversations we had to have as a team. Angela was always a very good facilitator in those discussions. She held everyone to a very high standard and that helped set the tone for the team.
Now, when our team gets together to talk about things, it’s a more comfortable environment than it was two years ago when we started on this journey. It’s now more fun to come together as a team and easier to have the tough conversations.
One thing I find particularly interesting about working with Angela is how she has so many ways to help you find a solution to a problem. I’ll talk to Angela about an issue, and she’ll offer a new tool or way to look at it, which is slightly different to how you may have looked at issues before but means that the problem that you were talking about is unpacked in a different way and helps you understand it and resolve it. That depth of tools and breadth of understanding is something I’m always impressed with when I work with Ange.

What my clients say
When I started coaching with Angela I was considering new roles and opportunities beyond my disciplinary expertise and towards strategic direction and capability management. As much as I was ready for that challenge, my main difficulty was in letting go of the traditional expectations of what my role had been for the best part of my career – at times I felt I was juggling two jobs
Angela helped me recognize that my leadership style and skills bring something different and valuable to the organisation. I’m now less concerned that my leadership style does not fit the traditional mold and recognise that my thinking and inclusive styles have positive influence on how we work. More importantly, I understand that quarantining time for deep thinking and for re-charging energy is part of the way I work and central to my effective leadership.
Through reflective practices, Angela has provided me with the tools I need to understand where my value exists, set appropriate boundaries, and be more effective in delegation and time management. This has created the space I need to re-energize and ensure the creative thinking and fun parts of work are not lost under lower value activities.

Got Questions?
Q. Is The Powering Leaders Program suitable for my leadership team?
If you have a team of technical experts transitioning to people leaders, this is the program for you. The material and delivery can be tailored exactly for the education, qualifications, skills and track record of your leadership team, from frontline leaders to senior executives.
Q. How many participants can be catered for on The Powering Leaders Program?
We have tailored this program for groups as small as 5 leaders and can scale up to encompass all of your top leaders / talent. We design each Program to fit the exact needs, education, size and maturity level of your leadership team.
Q. My leadership team are highly educated and very high performing. Will The Powering Leaders Program be suited to them?
We have designed and facilitated leadership development, strategy and planning and problem solving workshop programs for Australia’s most senior and qualified scientists, engineers, accountants, medical professionals and similar audiences. We know leadership development as well as they know their discipline and domain, and we use academically tested and corporately valued models, tools and materials in all of our programs.
Q. How do I know my team will be able to apply their learning in real life, ensuring our return on investment?
The program is designed and paced to match a well-worn, traceable pathway of leadership development, and the deeply reflective thinking and changes begin to occur for participants in the very first interactions. The action learning projects, coaching calls and many moments for reflection embedded into the learning modules all support the direct translation of leadership learning to the real world.
Q. Why are the first two modules all about self-awareness and self-leadership?
In The Powering Leaders Program, we commence with 360 degree feedback followed by two modules specifically designed to enhance self-awareness and self-leadership, before moving onto to managing others and broader strategic thinking skillsets. This is because KNOW that leaders need to clean up their own ‘leadership back yard’ before learning to manage others. This gives leaders the confidence and credibility they need to create high performing teams.
What my clients say
When I reached out to Angela, I was six months into leading a newly formed team of great people, and I wanted some guidance to ensure I was giving the team the best possible guidance and leadership they deserved.
A key benefit of working with Angela was she helped me recognise and polish skills I already had. Angela gave me the confidence to back my leadership style.
Through the process of leadership coaching, Angela helped me guide and elevate a talented group of professionals that didn’t feel seen or valued, into a high performing team which are now recognised and rewarded for the contribution they are making. I think that was a big moment in my journey - being able to support my team so they can live into their roles, grow and flourish and be extraordinary.
Since working with Angela, the improvement in performance and product delivery by our team has been noticed at many levels of the organisation. We are a new team, but in the last couple of months, there’s been an avalanche of recognition and reward for our work which is something to be celebrated.
